This tall and handsome young man says: “receiving the RYLA Leadership Award was cool.” He considers Mr. Trupe the most awesome AP Art History teacher ever!  When the Torrey Pines Jazz Band took a trip to San Francisco Jeff says “was the most fun ever!  Trolley rides in the rain confirm it. Craig Parks and Kavannah are always inspirational” His advice to young musicians “Learn your scales.  I disregarded it and didn’t get better until I took the time to learn them and their theories” Jeff is planning to attend UC Davis after graduation.  He is an Honor Roll Student.  His likes are: people, music, having fun, fruit but dislikes disrespecting others and their ideas, stuffy sweaty costumes!

“Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.”  The Bari Sax gives the band its beefy sound and Jeff is up to the task when he takes his chair. This gifted musician gives the band a bottom with his strong sound and powerful playing.  Deeply religious and dedicated to his beliefs he sets a great example that others look up to and admire.  We can see great things happening for this talented young man.
