Peter is an alumnus that comes back to play with the Jazz Ensemble every summer.  We look forward to his return and contributions to the trumpet section.  He says “I like the vibe you get from big band jazz.  When you’re playing in a really great band and the band is in a groove.  That’s what it’s all about”.  Presently a sophomore at University of North Texas, Peter is studying in one of the best jazz programs in the United States and at the number one college for Jazz education.  This tall handsome young artist with a great personality can laugh when teased about his new beard and moustache.  Peter is one talented musician whose sound is powerful, amazing and remarkable.  We look forward to his return and the knowledge he brings the band from his studies at University of North Texas. 

Peter's advice to another young musician just starting out: “Practice, practice, practice and listen to big band jazz.  Transcribe as much music as you can.
