Sean is a 2008 graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan.  He says about big band “I like the excitement it brings to the musicians and the audience.  It’s just so much fun to play!” Sean considers him self hard working, outgoing and likes to have fun.  “I love every second I’m playing the trumpet and don’t like things getting in the way of that.”  He plans to study trumpet performance at Indiana University.

Sean has received the “Director’s Award” for band as a freshman and the "Louis Armstrong Award” as a sophomore and junior.  “I got invited to be in the CBDA High School All-State Jazz Band.  I study with Gilbert Castellanos and Frank Glasson.  My most memorable performance would be the All-State Jazz Band.”  Sean’s advice to other young musicians just starting out: “Work hard, be optimistic and have fun.”  Sean says of the Jazz Ensemble “it’s a great group and I look forward to every time we play.  We perform awesome music and it’s a pleasure to be in this band.”  The Jazz Ensemble says of Sean, it’s a great pleasure to have a musician of his focus, caliber and dedication playing with the band.  His contributions are remarkable and awesome as well.
